Saturn

Ruling Planet of Capricorn

Saturn is the dedicated ruling planet of Capricorn, and is recognized as the planet of determination! It has also been referred to as the planet of Karma, when our actions determine our destiny! Saturn's influence is all about learning from our past, and educating the present for a better future. There are no easy ways to learn either, as Saturn demands commitment and hard work from us in order to achieve our ambitions!

Saturn expects nothing short of absolute discipline and dedication, no matter how high we may aim or how big a task we may set! Saturn urges us to accept as much responsibility as we can handle and succeed. We should not expect any favors from Saturn's influence either. Hold ups, frustrations, and overcoming difficulties along the way to success are all part of the procedure. Saturn wants us to learn remember, and the best way to learn is sometimes the hardest way! Saturn prompts us to find alternatives to our old habits, so we can become wiser and benefit all!

Saturn's energy is masculine, and much like the structure of the ringed planet, it represents structure in our lives! Its influence signifies a conservative and careful approach to situations wherever possible. Just as it urges us to take on challenges, it also recognizes that we will have no choice but to overcome many forms of hardship. In essence, we are tested to beat tough times and endure bad luck along with any associated depression. Only then can we achieve our ambitions, through perseverance and new ways of solution based thought. The management of our time and planning is very important to Saturn!

Saturn ensures we receive the recognition we deserve for our ability to stand so strong in the face of adversity. Wisdom comes with age and it also makes for a great reward! It is also an even better gift to pass onto others! Saturn allows us to assume a more authoritative role in life. Saturn is the second of the four gaseous giant planets, and is about 80 times the size of Earth. It is so far away, that it takes 29.5 earth years to orbit The Sun, and remains in each astrology sign for 2.5 years at a time. When Saturn returns to a sign, it signifies a major event in a life!
