The Central Element
Earth is the central balance of the elements and is the only element able to extend its influences to all the animal signs. It sits in the centre of the Chinese Cosmos Compass. It is associated with the sense of Taste, the planet Saturn, the season Summer, and the color Yellow. It is believed to govern the Spleen. Earth as an element represents perseverance, consistency, and function. It also stands for determination, resistance, accountability, resilience, and endurance.
Earth
element influences are considered to be intelligent,
calm, and cautious. The Earth element urges us
to be practical and plan our futures with security
in mind, to be prepared for whatever life may
throw our way. No security can lead to having
concerns, which leads to worrying about things
which we have no control over. When we have no
control, we can experience doubt and anxiety.
This leads to playing it too safe sometimes.
We need to follow and trust in our dreams and
aspirations more.
Life is not always
going to have logical and justifiable answers.
We need
to have a little fun, and go with the flow when
we worry. Life may well present
a beautiful gift to us when we realize we have
been worrying about nothingl. Hence,
we sometimes like to control certain scenarios,
as it gives us reassurance to a safe outcome.
Working with disciplines and reliability brings
results, lots of approval, and fabulous, enriching
self satisfaction. The Earth element allows us
to be respected for having such high moral stances
and senses of duty.
