Ancient civilizations believed their worlds must have been influenced by either Spirits or Gods. For example, the Ancients did not understand about how the Sun actually worked. Until they were able to sort of work it out, they considered it a God. When it rained or when the wind blew, they thought it was the will of their self created Gods. They needed to justify why such actions happened. The rain must have fallen from the sky for a reason after all. It seems mankind needed to comply with the will of their Gods, mainly in order to appease them.

The fact that so many of the planets and stars have initiated the creation of past Gods makes perfect sense. The stars and planets have been around for a lot longer than mankind. Without their presence, mankind would never have been able to contemplate their meanings of life in the first place, let alone develop their preferred Gods to believe in. Without them, many Gods would simply never have been created.

The most believed and ancient of the Gods is without a doubt The Sun! Later, more Gods of the heavens were created as the planets were found. Jupiter ruled the universe and all the other Gods, Mercury came along as the messenger to the Gods, and Venus brought Beauty and Love to Earth.
